I felt like that was spoiler-town. Plus, it’s so poorly done, I think harping on it would cruel. THAT PART COULD HAVE BEEN HILARIOUS. Instead it was just creepy.

A friend and I discussed how that if this is what Canadian film is getting funding, we are totally boned. That scene is why.

Although, I can’t believe you didn’t mention the scene with the parents, lactation and horrible awkwardness that resulted.

I apologize that was terribly innappropriate. On the other hand, you are an asshole with respectable writing capabilites and a stupid hat.
In response to your dislike of Weezer my 12 year old self says “Fuck you” in a vague attempt to get Rivers Cuomo to let me jump his bones. However I otherwise have to agree, considering that 1. you are right, and 2. does anyone not 12 really even like Rivers? Maybe the Muppets do, but whatever.

Addictions are often hilarious. This isn’t reductive of their tragedy, just a healthy sense of schadenfreude. It, like addiction, are a part of human nature. To deny it is to lie to yourself.

It’s interesting that you classify it as addiction; to do so is to be a ton more generous than most. While it shares so many traits with certain “diseases” like alcoholism, it rarely gets the same sensitivity. The sympathy afforded alcoholics is most often replaced with a healthy dose of “drop the donut, fatty”.
